Point One Zero helped a large private equity firm prepare the investment case for a services business valued at more than $2 billion. We turned management materials, financial models and comparable company data into governed source tables, then drafted the investment committee deck through three human review gates. Every figure in the final deck links to its source, and financial models move through a secure workspace instead of email.
The investment case was spread across management presentations, financial models and comparable company data that did not always agree. Analysts were spending their time reconciling documents instead of testing the thesis. The firm also needed to share sensitive models with outside parties without losing control of who saw what.
We structured every source into governed tables, built the comparable company analysis and assembled the memo deck in three stages: substance, slide composition and final sign-off. Each stage had a named reviewer from the deal team. A secure external workspace with identity controls and sensitivity labels replaced email for sharing financial models.
The deal team received a 28-slide investment committee deck in which every figure traces to its source and open questions are shown as open. Review time went to challenging the thesis instead of checking numbers. The same method has since produced a 64-slide committee deck from 23 source tables.
Every number in the deck opens to the table and document it came from.
Missing or conflicting evidence appears as an open question, never as filler.
Substance, composition and final approval each have a named deal-team reviewer.
Financial models move through an identity-controlled workspace with sensitivity labels and audit trails.
Review time went to challenging the thesis instead of checking the numbers.
